After 6 years, 2 frames, countless miles, several ounces of lost blood, and more fun than I can say, it was time for a major overhaul of my bike. On the agenda was new Easton Havoc AM wheels, Avid Juicy 7 Carbon brakes, RockShox Lyrik 2-Step fork, RaceFace Atlas headset, Crank Bros Acid 2.0 pedals, ODI Rogue Clamp-On grips, Enduro pivot bearings, and a fresh powder coat. Everything worked out well for the most part. Had some issues with the paint, and it didn’t turn out as I expected, and wasn’t the color initially wanted (Bright Pink). But in the interest of just getting it done and back on the road, I went with it.

It rides really nice. The geometry has changed a lot, and I need to get used to it, and also dial in the fork. But my first ride felt really good. Definitely feels like a new bike. Future upgrades planned include a rear shock, and maybe Stan’s NoTubes system.
